Stove Top Cover
Stove top cover! This is a project I have been wanting to try for awhile now. I am SO glad I finally dove into it because I LOVE the beauty it adds to our kitchen! Now, we have four kids at home and after a full day of kitchen use it’s nice to be able to throw our stove cover over the top of the stove IF we don’t feel like scrubbing the water stains off our stove at the end of a day! Now, this isn’t to say that we don’t wipe down and clean every evening after dinner, but in our home the two older boys are in charge of dinner clean up. Um…let’s just say although the dishes are in the dish washer, the table is cleaned off and counter tops/stovetop are wiped down, this is all done teenage boy style! On nights where I don’t feel like rescrubbing the stove top, our STOVE COVER comes in handy!
All it took to make it was a few pieces of wood from Lowes, handles from Hobby Lobby, some wood glue and wood stain of your choice!
HANDLES (THESE ARE NOT THE EXACT ONES THAT I USED, BUT CLOSE) HOBBY LOBBY HAS MANY TO CHOOSE FROM.
