Tassel Tree
Are you looking for a holiday project to do with friends, your family, or just to spend a craft evening by yourself? This was one of my favorite evening projects this year. I found this great blog on Wilshire Collections by Stacey Collins. She does a great job breaking down how to actually make the tassels for this holiday tree.
Obviously, I tweaked mine a bit by adding it (using my glue gun) to the front of a picture frame. I began by adding colored cardstock in my picture frame and choosing a yarn color choice that complimented that color. I chose a wine/burgundy cardstock (listed below) and a simple gray for my yarn choice. The actual color of yarn is called overcast. I assembled my tree using my hot glue gun and added a stick for the base of my tree. You could also use a cinnamon stick if you wanted it to smell nice!
For my finishing touch I used my Cricut Maker to cut out the word “joy” and applied it to the front! Viola! What a fun project! If you are a visual learner like myself, click on “Tassel Tree” below and it will bring you to Wilshire Collections where Stacey gives fantastic step by step instructions!
Happy Crafting!
