Valentine Zipper Pouches
I am in LOVE, LOVE, LOVE with the way these zipper pouches turned out! I used a sparkle iron on vinyl for this project and it really turned out great! You can’t tell from the picture too well, but it SPARKLES! I thought these might make great gifts for Valentine’s Day!
Easy Peasy to make! Just choose a plain zipper pouch. I actually picked mine up at Michael’s, but I attached a bunch of plain canvas pencil pouches that I also ordered in bulk from Amazon. I am already thinking of a design for St. Patty’s Day! 🙂
I have a Cricut Maker that I use to make all of my designs. Once I chose my design in my Cricut Design Space, I cut it out with the Maker and used my handy dandy Cricut tools to help weed away the excess vinyl. Next, I used my Cricut Heat Press to adhere it to the canvas pouch. That’s it! Project complete!
I will say, the Cricut Heat Press has been a complete GAME CHANGER for me! When I started making shirts a year ago, I would get so frustrated because using my iron only SOMETIMES worked! Often times I found myself getting frustrated with certain letters not adhering to my fabric or later peeling off! SO frustrating!
I came across an ad for the Heat Press and honestly, I was hesitant to order it because it wasn’t cheap and WHY would I order a heat press when I already had an iron?! I decided to put all of my gift cards together and bite the bullet! WOW, what a difference it made! My projects actually look professional AND I complete them in half the time with very little frustration! I’d be lying if I said everything always goes smoothly! After all, it’s projecting! Making mistakes goes hand and hand with creating crafts! I WILL say that my frustrations come from my own silly mistakes rather than my tools not working properly! Usually, it’s me getting ahead of myself and forgetting to hit that “mirror” button before I cut out and object! Ugh.
