Clay Houses

Ok, remember how I said I was a little obsessed with sculpting clay?! Here is another evening project made from sculpey clay. Now when I posted last week on my mini heart and star gift tags, I had used tiny cut outs. These houses I free handed and used a knife along the edges. Personally, I LOVE the way they turned out! My favorite is the one I added words to using my Cricut maker!

Now, if you have never used a Cricut Maker I’m telling you they are LIFE CHANGING in the world of crafters! I used mine to cut out “Home is where the heart is” and attach it to my house.

In case you didn’t catch my previous post on using sculpting clay it’s simple easy to use. It may be a bit hard to work with until you massage it in your hands and roll it around on your working space a bit. Once you get it rolled out or flattened with the palm of your hand. You can begin sculpting and designing. Polymer Clay has these really cool clay tools to help you make designs on your projects. Once you have completed your design, stick them on a baking sheet and back for 15 minutes at 275. That’s it! Just don’t forget to place any holes you would like BEFORE you bake your clay.
