Homemade Bagels
I love bagels! Always have. The problem is they don’t settle so well in my belly anymore, so I try to stay clear of them. It’s funny how things that you eat your entire life suddenly no longer agree with you once you hit mid-age! Quite frankly I find it annoying which is why I spend hours altering recipes that will not leave me feeling bloated and heavy.
Healthy Homemade Bagels that actually taste yummy!! I did NOT think it was possible! This was another one of my tik tock finds that I altered a bit to make even healthier! The best part about it is they are SUPER simple to make. Honestly, two ingredients!
- 1.5 cups of flour ( I used 1 cup of whole wheat and 1/2 cup of white flour)
- 1 cup of yogurt (I used plain Greek yogurt)
- melted butter on top using a basting brush (optional)
- Everything Bagel seasoning sprinkled on top (this is a MUST)
It really is as simple as that! Two ingredients with seasoning of your choice (personally I think the EVERYTHING BAGEL SEASONING is a must) but you could choose just salt, pepper, or garlic if you prefer.
Add your ingredients together. If the mixture is too wet just add a bit more flour. Roll handfuls into logs and shape them into circles. Splash the top with butter and topping and bake on 350 for 10 minutes. That’s it! YUM!!
