Bathroom Redesign
I am obsessed with the bathrooms in our home! There is something about transforming a tiny little space! Oh the possibilities! Our downstairs bathroom is a pretty small space, but I am in LOVE with the transformation! First my hubby and our eldest put in some flooring from Lowes. I LOVE it so much that I want to have it put in all our other bathrooms…. I’m just thinking they might strangle me if I suggest it! Have you ever heard of mineral paint? It’s like chalk paint, but better! So easy to use and the final look is beautiful! We have a store here in Northern Virginia called The…

Stove Top Cover
Stove top cover! This is a project I have been wanting to try for awhile now. I am SO glad I finally dove into it because I LOVE the beauty it adds to our kitchen! Now, we have four kids at home and after a full day of kitchen use it’s nice to be able to throw our stove cover over the top of the stove IF we don’t feel like scrubbing the water stains off our stove at the end of a day! Now, this isn’t to say that we don’t wipe down and clean every evening after dinner, but in our home the two older boys are in…

Hello Winter
All you need for this project is wood cut into 6″by6″ pieces. I used a 2″ by 6″ piece of wood that we had laying around in our garage and cut it into squares or 6″ by 6″ pieces. I painted the front white with acrylic paint from Hobby Lobby and then cut out “hello winter” with my handy dandy silhouette machine from Joann’s! Viola! That was it! Winter Project
There is nothing I love more than a quick weekend project! Now this project was something that I saw on Pinterest and have wanted to try out for awhile now. We had these 1″ by 4’s” laying around in the garage so I decided to get to work! First I cut them into my desired length. Then I got our orbital sander from Lowes out and sanded away until my wood was to my desired smoothness! I bought paints and rope thread from Hobby Lobby and started working on my masterpieces! Now I’m not an artist, but I do love to try. There is something about the mindfulness of painting…

Happy New Year!!
Ok, so I was looking for a quick New Year’s gift for friends and family and came across this project! Super simple! I picked up some of these wood slices and wood beads at Hobby Lobby, drilled a hole in the top and painted the inside of the wood slice black. I then used my Silhouette machine to cut out cheers and Happy New Year! I stuck my words over the wood slice, strung my wooden beads, weaved them through the hold on my wood slice and tied in the back! Viola! Easy peasy!! Now if you don’t have a Silhouette machine you could easily use stencils or even chalk…
