Pom, Pom Obsession! DIY POM Earrings and More!
I have to admit that this week I received a package in the mail that turned me into a bit of a Pom, Pom fanatic! I am officially OBSESSED! These tiny little colored balls make me SO happy and the possibilities of what to make! I am working on putting together a book of POM ideas, but in the meantime wanted to share this DIY project with you. If you like making jewelry I think you might just LOVE this project! Just look at how CUTE these earrings came out! I wore them for Valentine’s Day and got SO many compliments!
POM, POM EARRINGS!!
POM, POM DIY Earrings
These are the Pom Makers that I ordered. The link below contains affiliate links but will take you to the Pom kit that I purchased. I loved this kit because it came with POM Makers of various sizes as well as two pair of small scissors used to cut yarn, AND a small variety pack of yarn with a bunch of beautiful colors!
Don’t forget your earring base. You can choose from many different styles here. I wanted fishhook bases for dangly earrings rather than posts. I like the variety that this pack offers, but you can also find many other options at Michaels or Hobby Lobby.
Making the POMS for your DIY Earrings
Pom Maker Video by RED TED ART. When making your earrings be sure to use the smallest pom maker or you might have some mighty large earrings!
Final Step
Once you finish making the poms be sure to leave the tail yarn. Your last and final step are securing the pom to the jewelry base. All I did was tie the pom around the fishhook earring base and cut off any excess yarn! That’s it!
This is a super easy evening project, that doesn’t require a lot of attention. I save these kinds of projects for when my husband is around and I don’t want to neglect him, so I sit on the couch next to him mindlessly wrapping poms and tying them to earring bases. Easy Peasy!

Hi there! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are you using for this site? I’m getting sick and tired of WordPress because I’ve had problems with hackers and I’m looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

Hi this is kinda of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding experience so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
